OUR HISTORY
Our Beginning
Zion Missionary Baptist Church was organized in 1871 by a small group of dedicated Christians who had prayed and labored together in love, understanding and fellowship. The first church building was a one room structure built on land donated by some Caucasian citizens of Roswell, and this building also housed a school. The initial building was destroyed by fire in 1885 and was later rebuilt.

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. We believe in winning souls and building up the body of Christ. Missionary effort, on the part of all, rests upon the Holy Spirit and our willingness to yield to Him in obeying the commands of Christ. It is the duty of every child of God to win the lost to Christ by personal effort and by all other methods in harmony with the good news of Christ.

OUR BELIEFS
Molding believers, influencing the world
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It’s completely true and contains all we need in order to know and walk with God. We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, perfectly holy, sovereign, and good. We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is fully man and fully God, the one and only Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and was raised on the third day.
