ZMBC 8 - 2nd & 3rd Quarter Update

Galatians 6:9 says Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV)
As we begin the Third Quarter of 2016 our Cluster Ministries continue to move forward with the business of Zion. Update is as follows:

GLAS (Governance, Leadership, Administration & Stewardship)


ZMBC Staffing Plan completed (implementation date TBD)

3rd Quarter:

  • Create a Governance & Polity Process
  • Land Development & Real Estate Plan
  • Begin work on a Strong Stewardship Culture
  • Cultivate Spiritual Discernment within Zion

Christian Education and Discipleship Cluster


  • Secure & assign team resources to support execution of plans
    • Curriculum Team
    • Logistics Team
    • Resources Team
  • Define basic breadth & scope of future curriculum for Zion, and document within Ministry Cluster Team
  • Implement a technology platform to support Phase I implementation of ZMBC Comprehensive Curriculum
  • Research & evaluate logistical alternatives for execution of classes at Zion (on-site, remote, web‐based, correspondence)

4th Quarter:

  • Develop a Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Scope & Prepare Role Requirements (with GLAS) for Christian Edu. Positions to be on-boarded in 2016/17
  • Determine Teacher/Facilitator requirements needed to support Breadth & Scope of Zion curriculum
  • Develop a Teacher Training and Certification plan for teachers/facilitators for new ZMBC courses/workshops

Congregational Life & Member Care


  • CCG Group Development
  • CCG Team/Leader Training

3rd & 4th Quarter:

  • Completion of Training for additional sub-committees
  • Mobile App-Phase 1
  • Church Roll Determination of Active Members
  • Ongoing Assessment of Membership
  • Research to determine frequency of transportation requests
  • Collaborate with Service & Hospitality to survey for a Car Pool Program

Service and Hospitality ‐Transportation & Parking


  • Purchased 8 Walkie Talkies
  • Researched the current transportation requests
  • Established sub-team with Congregational & Member Care
  • Created a Visitor & New Member Process Map to understand procedural successes and opportunities
  • Developed a car pool/church transportation survey

3rd & 4th Quarter:

  • Share visitor & new member process map as with Church Council and ministry leaders
  • Investigate transportation policies and procedures of other churches
  • Obtain approval and distribute transportation survey to church body

Technology/Communications/Public Relations Cluster


  • Launched phase 1 of new website
  • Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy
  • Added phase 1 of Church Monitors
  • Installed additional Security Cameras
  • Installed Fiber Network
  • Launched phase 2 website
  • Completed PCO/Child Security Check-in

3rd & 4th Quarter:

  • Implement media presentation enhancements/upgrades for Networks, servers, and workstations.
  • Improve acoustic dampers

Missions & Evangelism

3rd & 4th Quarter:

  • complete the Train the Trainer activities with a projected completion date of 4th quarter of 2016
  • Membership Missions & Evangelism Training begins with a projected completion date of 2nd quarter of 2017
  • Begin the implementation to Increase Member Missions & Evangelism Involvement by 50% the projected completion date is 2nd quarter of 2018.
  • Implement church-wide training curriculum for the Plan of Salvation.
